Partners Meeting - Poland 23 -25. June 2013

The 9th partnership meeting of the “Improving Employment Opportunities in the Labour Market for Marginalised Communities” Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme will take place from 23rd – 25th June, 2013 in Poland. The meeting is organized by the Lower Silesian Regional Labour Office.

During this mobility Partners will visit Vocational Activisation Centre (CAZ) operating within the Poviat Labour Office in Wroclaw, where they will be briefed on the activities of the office for the unemployed, in particular the active forms of support. Later in will be presented one of the activities - group counseling - led by the Wroclaw Information and Career Planning Centre. In addition, partners will take part in a study visit to be held in Information Centre for Social Development in Wroclaw, which in partnership with Foundations InPosterum and  PROM currently leads measures to support the integration of the Roma community.

On the second day of the meeting, i.e. 25.06.2013r. in the Hotel Mercure at Dominican square in Wroclaw Final Conference will be held, in which both partners and invited guests will share their knowledge and examples of good practice related to topics addressed in the project "Improving ...". The organizers hope that this meeting will contribute to the exchange of experiences of people directly related to the theme of marginalized communities and will result in further international cooperation.

Partnership Meeting - IRELAND 13th -17th April 2013

Ireland will host the 8th meeting of the Lifelong Learning Programme “Improving Employment Opportunities in the Labour Market for Marginalised Communities”.  

The purpose of the project has been to share models of best practice which have been developed across the partnership countries in relation to supporting members from marginalised communities who have difficulties accessing direct employment in the labour market, having poor participation in education and training programmes.

The Meeting will be hosted by Co Clare VEC/ National Co-ordination Unit in Dublin City. Dublin has been chosen as a venue in order to give the opportunity to attendees to see our capital city and also visit the Department of Education and Skills campus.

As with other partnership meetings, the meeting will consist of formal presentations with time devoted to workshops and general discussion between the partners in the project. The theme of the conference will focus on early school leaving and what supports are provided to retain people in schools and also the supports that are provided to these young people who have left school without any formal qualification. The following presenters will give an overview of their services that there organisation provides to reduce early school leaving and also support those young people that already have left school.

This meeting will incorporate a visit to a Youthreach Centre in Tallaght for early school leavers and a Detention Centre for young people who have been sent there by the probation services in Lusk, North County Dublin.  There is also a cultural programme for all attendees; this will include a visit to Powerscourt Waterfall, Glendalough and a traditional Irish night of music and craic.

Partnership Meeting - Turkey – 26th - 30th January 2013

The 7th partnership meeting of the “Improving Employment Opportunities in the Labour Market for Marginalised Communities” Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme will take place from 26th to 30th January, 2013 in the Turkey. The meeting is organized by the Trabzon Provincial Directorate of National Education in Trabzon.

The main topics will be Vocational Guidance and Practice Firms Method. The meeting will feature a professional program comprising a range of lectures by project partners and invited experts from external partner organizations. A representative from the Trabzon Guidance Research Centre will present information on the Vocational Guidance System in Turkey, and a representative of the will give a presentation on “Vocational Education System in Turkey”.  Czech Republic and Poland partners will present contributions concerning training programs for the Practice Firms Method. 

During the Mobility Partners will visit the Trabzon Navigation and Industrial Vocational High School, Turkey Labour Agency Trabzon Branch and visit the Trabzon Technopolis. Partners will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the actions developed by the Trabzon Technopolis for Vocational education.

The group will cultural visit Ayder Plateau and Thermal Spring Visit , Memişağa Mansion and Excursion in Of Tea Factory with guide.

Partnership Meeting - Czech Republic - 1st - 5th December 2012

The 6th partnership meeting of the “Improving Employment Opportunities in the Labour Market for Marginalised Communities” Leonardo da Vinci Lifelong Learning Programme will take place from 1st to 5th December, 2012 in the Czech Republic. The meeting is organized by the Labour Office in Jablonec nad Nisou and EDUCA - vzdělávací centrum, s.r.o.  

The main topics will be Educational Programmes for the Unemployed and issues concerning quality of education. The meeting will feature a professional program comprising a range of lectures by project partners and invited experts from external partner organizations. A representative from the Regional Liberec Chamber of Commerce will present information on the prevention of early school  leaving in the Liberec region, and a representative of the Semily based Bridge to Education civic association will give a presentation on examples of good practice in training programs for  the unemployed. Partners will present contributions concerning training programs for the unemployed, systems of lifelong education, and the monitoring of quality of education. An addition topic covered  will be a comparison of approaches to the issues of the long-term unemployed in partner countries.

Participants will be familiarised with the cultural and working conditions in Liberec Region. They will also be offered the opportunity to meet representatives of local government and the regional branch of the Labour Office in Liberec in order to exchange experiences based on the on main topics of the meeting and the function of the civil service in areas of employment and the labour market.
